AutoInsider Live project car competition heats up

The ‘Foto my Motor’ competition is heating up ahead of the winner being announced at the first ever AutoInsider Live interactive event this week. The contest was a chance for apprentices right through to experienced technicians to feature vehicles they work on in their spare time or as a project, and the shortlist of nominees has been drawn up ahead of the announcement

Sogefi adds second Purflux van to GSF fleet

The sky is the limit for filter specialist Sogefi as it adds another Purflux branded van to GSF Car Parts fleet. The delivery vehicle will be based at GSF’s Heathrow branch, and is fitted out in a fetching blue and white livery, similar to the first van stationed at Trafford Park

Motor Codes set to reopen 'Garage of the Year'

Industry watchdog Motor Codes is set to open a contest to find which of its members is the ‘Garage of the Year’. Open to all Code subscribers, the competition will be a month-long campaign running from 27th of May to the 22nd of June. Customers will be encouraged to leave feedback via an online form

Sovereign’s new service to reduce rejected warranty claims

Sovereign Rotating Machines has launched an innovative way for factors and garages to check warranty claims. The remanufacturing specialists has set up a method where a factor takes three photos of the starter or alternator via a smartphone or tablet, and then send them with a brief description to Sovereign’s technical team, they will be able to assess by a team of experts
