Autodata to go 100% online to boost customer service

Autodata will put its entire service online from the beginning of December with a new platform and start to phase out the use of discs. All subscribers will transfer from the DVD-platform to the online service within the next 12 months in the £1.8 million development.

Full steam ahead for S&B Automotive Academy

S&B Automotive Academy is celebrating record-breaking success with its automotive apprentices as they post the best results in its 42-year history. An average success rate of 87% was recorded across both advanced and intermediate apprenticeships in the 2012/2013 academic year, a four percent increase year-on-year and 15 percent above the average national success rate of 72 percent for the automotive sector.

CAT Retail Lives: K.Tee Motor Centre

Peter Black takes CAT through his 40 years in the automotive industry and 30 years in retail. He started in the motor trade 41 years ago for a company called Kettering Tyres, under the management of colourful character Peter Unwinn. Soon after starting out in the industry he ended up managing a branch of Kettering Tyres in South Wigston, Leicester. Little did Black know that he would be the owner of that shop 10 years on.

NAB concerned by Competition Commission research

The National Association of Bodyshops (NAB) has concerns over Competition Commission’s (CC) research and investigation into the private motor insurance market. The CC commissioned MSX International to look at quality of repairs carried out on vehicles involved in accidents as part of its investigation.
