TPS Preston expands regional reach with new facility

TPS Preston has opened a new 6830 sq ft facility in Kendal to increase delivery capacity for independent garages.

Located at Mintsfleet Industrial Estate, the site serves as a strategic hub to reduce lead times for customers in north Lancashire, southern Cumbria, and parts of North Yorkshire.

The expansion includes a dedicated fleet of four delivery vans and six new employees: four drivers and two warehouse staff.

Despite the new physical location, administrative operations remain centralised, said TPS, with customers told to continue to place orders through the existing TPS Preston sales team using established contact channels.

Les Crabtree, TPS Preston centre manager said: “The opening of the new site in Kendal will make a huge difference to the LA postcode territory as we can now offer a quicker service to more customers.

“TPS Preston has been delivering to Kendal for 10 years but it is an hour away from that particular Centre. The new site also means we can give an on demand delivery service to more customers providing them the parts they need, when they need them.”

The facility’s delivery radius encompasses Lancaster, Morecambe, and Carnforth in Lancashire, as well as Cumbrian towns including Barrow-in-Furness, Ulverston, Windermere, and Ambleside. As a trade-only partner, TPS provides parts, oils, and tooling exclusively to the independent garage sector.
